The Grotto

In July we went with Brielle, John and Grandpa, Grandma to “The Grotto” up Payson Canyon.

It was a fun, kid friendly hike. Here we are crossing the stream.

Even Grandpa made it across safe and sound.

It was a beautiful day and a pretty hike.

Then we made it to the rock grotto.

Grandpa withstood the cold water and made it all the way to the waterfall.

Owen was brave and got completely wet.

We were able to sit back and eat some lunch.

John even got into the water!

Emma loved it all!

Did I mention how cold the water was?

Now time to hike back.

We did it!

On our way home we decided to take a detour and see how high Deer Creek Reservoir was since we were already in our swim suits.

It was so high, normally there is a little bit of a beach to walk on but not this year.

Emma enjoyed playing in the water.

Ethan found a heart rock. It was a beautiful day and we had a lot of fun.
