For Fall break we went to Zions National Park for a trip. We had never been there before and it was breathtaking, this shot we took from our hotel while the kids were swimming in the pool.
It was a beautiful hotel we stayed at. The kids enjoyed the pool, like always.
Hot tub too!
The next day we went hiking in Zion’s National Park.
Crossing the bridge.
We met up with Gavan, Andy and the kids.
We saw these people rock climbing, it looked really hard and exhausting!
It was fun hiking around and enjoying Zions together.
Mercer and Ethan finding a small cave to hide in.
Me.
Kier.
The kids.
They bus you to different hiking points, they don’t allow cars.
On the way out of town we stopped to do some geo-caching at a old cemetery and ghost town.
Beautiful headstones. Very old and decorative.
This headstone caught my eye, I LOVE what it said about Mary, I thought it was beautiful!!!!
The kids and Gav hiking up to find the geo-cache.
Then we drove to this cool old town that’s in the process of being restored.
It had houses you could check out and look around at.
Interesting to look at the construction and hard work it must have taken to build these houses so long ago.
I would have enjoyed it more if someone named DeeDee (short for Debbie Downer) who showed up on this trip.
Cool old barn and wagon.
This is just of a road side restaurant, I just loved this picture Kier took.
Then we headed to Saint George to the Tuacahn to see the Little Mermaid show.
It’s fancy, we had never been before.
It’s an outdoor theater set against a basin of red rock as the back drop. It was a beautiful night.
Waiting for the show to begin.
They did a great job. It was a great show.
Colorful, great voices, parts were under the sea, amazing!
Cool set changes.
At intermission we caught up with Gav and Andy.
While waiting for the parking lot to clear we ran down to the fancy entrance to the Tuacahn to take some photos.
Them.
And us. It was a great night.
The next day we woke up and headed to the Saint George Temple.
They have a cool visitors center. Book of Mormons in all different languages.
You can learn all about how the temple was built, amazing.
A mini replica of Jerusalem.
The church does such a nice job.
It was a great vacation! Thanks Southern Utah for all the fun!
