On the Saturday before Easter we had everyone over for a egg hunt and luncheon.
We shake it up a bit by doing plastic coins in the eggs.
The kids go out in rounds and get a set number each, that way it’s fair for the little people.
They bring their eggs back after each round and open them up to see how many coins they’ve got.
I like not having to put a ton of candy in them.
Plus I don’t have to find only tiny prizes to fit in the eggs.
And to meet my practical side, the coins and eggs are reusable every year.
Towards the end we open it up for a free for all to get as many as you can.
Plus we always have a “Golden Egg”, one that is just filled to the brim with coins.
Then when the hunting is all over they use their coins for an auction.
Ryan helped Kier out on the auctioning table. Each family brings prizes for the auction.
We had quite the houseful.
We had to get creative with the seating, he-he-he. Then we had a luncheon, yum!
Then the Easter Bunny came to the K2’s.
He’s one busy bunny!
Punch balloons and flip flops.
Happy feet. Spring is here!
